Job Overview

The Lead Sustainability Analyst will spearhead the design, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability projects for Accenture’s Ethiopian clients and internal operations. Reporting to the Sustainability Practice Lead, you will translate global sustainability frameworks into actionable strategies that align with Ethiopia’s Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainability assessments, carbon footprint analyses, and ESG reporting for client engagements.
• Lead stakeholder workshops with government agencies, private sector partners, and community groups to identify sustainability priorities.
• Design data‑driven sustainability roadmaps that integrate renewable energy, waste reduction, and circular economy principles.
• Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare comprehensive impact reports.
• Provide thought leadership through whitepapers, webinars, and internal training sessions on emerging sustainability trends.
• Collaborate with Accenture’s technology teams to embed sustainability metrics into digital platforms and analytics tools.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, pitch decks, and client presentations focused on sustainability solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in sustainability assessment tools (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14001).
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
• Project management experience, preferably with Agile or PRINCE2 methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Fluency in English and Amharic; additional language skills are a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as LEED AP, GRI Certified Professional, or a Master’s degree in a sustainability‑focused field are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in sustainability consulting, corporate ESG reporting, or environmental project management. Experience working with Ethiopian regulatory frameworks or international development agencies will be considered an advantage.

Salary
