Job Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the IRC’s operations in Ethiopia, ensuring the effective management of human resources across the organization. This position will provide administrative support to the HR team, facilitate recruitment processes, and ensure compliance with IRC policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including maintaining personnel files and records
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including advertising job vacancies, coordinating interviews, and ensuring timely hiring
  • Ensure compliance with IRC policies and procedures, including labor laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement HR-related policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related matters

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

2-3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a humanitarian or development organization

Salary

The salary range for this position is 60,000 – 80,000 ETB per month
