Job Overview

The Senior Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in our supply chain operations within the Ethiopian market. This position involves managing complex vendor relationships, negotiating high-value contracts, and ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials to our production facilities. You will be responsible for optimizing procurement processes to reduce costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure cost-effective procurement of raw materials and packaging.
• Negotiate complex commercial terms and pricing with local and international suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery time, and cost.
• Collaborate with the finance department to manage procurement budgets and forecast spending.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to prevent disruptions in production.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with local Ethiopian regulations and international corporate standards.

Required Skills

• Advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
• Deep understanding of local and international logistics and customs procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis and market trend forecasting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess between 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector. Proven experience in managing large-scale vendor portfolios is essential.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 to 75,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
