Job Summary

The Senior HR Manager will lead and manage all human resource functions within the organization. This role ensures compliance with Ethiopian labor laws while aligning HR strategies with overall business objectives. The position focuses on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development to build a strong and productive workforce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Management

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals
  • Advise senior leadership on HR policies and workforce planning
  • Lead organizational development and change management initiatives

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
  • Ensure hiring practices comply with Ethiopian labor regulations

3. Employee Relations & Labor Law Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Labour Proclamation No. 1156/2019
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate with labor unions and government authorities when necessary

4. Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance appraisal systems
  • Monitor employee performance and support evaluations
  • Foster a high-performance work culture

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop competitive salary structures and benefits packages
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Pension Proclamation
  • Coordinate payroll policies with the Finance department

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and organize staff development programs
  • Support leadership development and capacity building initiatives
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and outcomes

7. HR Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Prepare and present HR reports to senior management
