Job Overview

The Senior E-commerce Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the complex supply chain and last-mile delivery networks that power our digital marketplace. This role is critical to ensuring that every order placed on our platform reaches the customer efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including warehouse managers, third-party logistics providers, and delivery agents, to optimize our distribution channels. This position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the unique logistical challenges of the Ethiopian market while maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize last-mile delivery processes to ensure high customer satisfaction rates.
  • Coordinate with regional distribution centers to manage inventory flow and prevent stockouts.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, including delivery times and cost per shipment.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Implement new routing technologies to reduce delivery lead times and fuel consumption.
  • Resolve complex logistical issues and customer complaints related to shipping and delivery.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for operational improvement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing vendor relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian transportation regulations and regional geography.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale operations in a high-pressure environment.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CSCP or CLTD are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector. Proven experience in managing last-mile delivery networks is essential for success in this role.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
