Job Overview

The Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the flow of goods through Maersk’s Shire hub, ensuring timely and cost‑effective movement of cargo across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Maersk standards.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
• Monitor cargo status using Maersk’s digital platforms, proactively addressing delays or exceptions.
• Communicate shipment updates to customers, providing clear and accurate information on ETAs and any issues.
• Collaborate with inland transport partners to arrange trucking, rail, or multimodal movements as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, freight costs, and performance metrics.
• Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols throughout all logistics activities.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, customs procedures, and Ethiopian trade regulations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Maersk Spot, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills in English and Amharic; additional language proficiency is a plus.

Education
