Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive drive tests and data collection to assess network performance.
• Analyze KPI trends and identify areas for improvement in coverage, capacity, and quality.
• Develop and implement optimization plans, including parameter tuning, antenna adjustments, and handover optimization.
• Collaborate with radio planning, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless rollout of optimization initiatives.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting impact and ROI of optimization activities.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously enhance network performance.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in network performance tools (e.g., Atoll, TEMS, NEMO).
• In‑depth understanding of LTE/5G radio access technologies and network architecture.
• Experience with drive‑test data processing and KPI analysis.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in network optimization or radio planning are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in telecom network optimization, preferably within LTE and 5G environments. Prior experience with MTN or other major African operators is a plus, reflecting familiarity with regional market dynamics.
