Job Overview

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will lead the assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of credit risk for the bank’s loan portfolio in the Debre Birhan region. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for corporate and SME loan applications, including financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and industry risk evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain quantitative risk models, scorecards, and rating systems to predict default probabilities and loss given default.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios, identify early warning signs, and recommend risk mitigation actions such as restructuring, collateral enhancement, or portfolio reallocation.
  • Prepare detailed credit risk reports for senior management, highlighting portfolio trends, concentration risks, and compliance with regulatory limits.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers to ensure that credit proposals meet risk appetite and policy standards.
  • Lead the implementation of credit risk policies, procedures, and best practices across the Debre Birhan branch network.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts and credit officers on risk assessment techniques and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills
