Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will be responsible for financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment analysis of solar and wind projects under development in the Amhara region. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and external financiers, the analyst will ensure that each project meets the financial criteria required for successful funding and execution. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for new renewable energy projects, incorporating capital expenditures, operating costs, revenue streams, and tax incentives.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate project viability under varying market and regulatory conditions.
- Prepare investment memoranda, business cases, and presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align technical specifications with financial assumptions.
- Support the structuring and negotiation of financing agreements, including debt, equity, and grant funding.
- Monitor project cash flows, budget adherence, and key performance indicators throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance reports required by Ethiopian authorities.
- Stay updated on global renewable energy financing trends and incorporate best practices into TotalEnergies’ processes.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, especially solar and wind technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian energy regulations, tax incentives, and financing mechanisms.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for creating compelling presentations.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or PMP are highly preferred.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in project finance, investment analysis, or financial advisory within the renewable energy sector. Experience working on cross‑border financing or with international development banks is an advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 120,000 to 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and long‑term incentive plans are also part of the total rewards structure.
