Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Finance Analyst will be responsible for structuring, evaluating, and monitoring the financial aspects of renewable energy projects across the Amhara region. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and external financiers, the analyst will conduct financial modeling, risk assessment, and due‑diligence to ensure projects are bankable and aligned with TotalEnergies’ sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed financial models for solar, wind, and hydro projects, incorporating capital expenditures, operating costs, revenue streams, and tax incentives.
- Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess project viability under varying market conditions and policy frameworks.
- Coordinate with legal and technical teams to prepare comprehensive due‑diligence packages for lenders and equity partners.
- Monitor project cash flows, covenant compliance, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Support negotiations with banks, development finance institutions, and private investors to secure optimal financing structures.
- Stay updated on Ethiopian energy policies, carbon pricing mechanisms, and international financing trends to advise on strategic opportunities.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software; familiarity with @RISK, PVSyst, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Amharic proficiency is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies, power purchase agreements, and project finance structures.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or PMP will be considered an asset.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or financial analysis within the renewable energy sector. Experience working with international lenders or development agencies in Ethiopia is highly desirable.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 120,000 to 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and long‑term incentive plans may be included.
