Job Overview

The AI Ethics Officer will lead IBM Ethiopia’s efforts to embed ethical principles into the design, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence solutions for clients across Ethiopia. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI ethics policies, guidelines, and standards aligned with Ethiopian regulations and global frameworks.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI projects, identifying potential bias, fairness, transparency, and privacy concerns.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Provide training and workshops for internal teams and client organizations on responsible AI practices.
• Monitor emerging AI regulations, standards, and industry trends, updating internal policies accordingly.
• Advise senior leadership on ethical implications of AI initiatives and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Lead the creation of documentation, impact assessments, and audit reports for AI deployments.

Required Skills
