Job Overview
The Retail Store Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of our flagship Carrefour store in Bahir Dar. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, driving sales performance, and delivering an outstanding shopping experience. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store management, including staff leadership, inventory control, visual merchandising, customer service, and compliance with corporate standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of sales associates, department heads, and support staff to achieve store targets.
- Develop and execute operational plans that align with corporate goals and local market dynamics.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, profit margins, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including food safety and labor regulations.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and loss prevention strategies.
- Implement visual merchandising standards to enhance product presentation and drive impulse purchases.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to optimize profitability.
- Foster a customer‑centric culture by handling escalated service issues and promoting best‑practice service standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to execute local campaigns and events.
- Prepare regular reports for regional leadership and contribute to strategic planning sessions.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in retail management or supply chain are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in retail store management, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing a large team. Experience in a multinational retail environment is highly desirable.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 180,000 to 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based incentives.
