Job Overview
The Junior Data Privacy Analyst will support Deloitte’s Data Protection & Compliance team in delivering privacy assessments, policy development, and regulatory reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves conducting privacy impact assessments, monitoring data handling practices, and assisting senior analysts in designing privacy‑by‑design solutions. The analyst will also engage with clients to raise awareness of data protection obligations and help embed privacy controls into everyday business processes.
As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including legal, IT security, and business operations, to ensure that privacy initiatives align with both local Ethiopian regulations and international standards such as GDPR and CCPA. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for client projects.

- Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement privacy‑by‑design controls.
- Provide training and awareness sessions for client staff on data privacy best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging privacy regulations and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., Ethiopian Data Protection Proclamation, GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Education
A bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27701 are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
2‑4 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, legal advisory, or related fields. Experience in consulting environments or with multinational clients is a plus.
Salary
The annual salary range for this position is 120,000 – 180,000 SSP, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
