We are seeking an Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Gambela, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and providing recommendations to stakeholders.

Job Overview

The Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and providing recommendations to stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and experience in conducting environmental impact assessments.

The job will involve working closely with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other organizations. The successful candidate will be required to travel to project sites and conduct fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and provide recommendations to stakeholders
• Develop and implement environmental management plans
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other organizations
• Conduct fieldwork and collect data
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
• 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management
• Strong background in environmental science and policy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an asset.

Experience

The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management. Experience in working with government agencies, local communities, and other organizations is an asset.

Salary

The salary for this position is 80,000 – 120,000 SSP per annum.
