Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all production processes and final products adhere to the strictest international food safety and quality standards. This position involves overseeing laboratory testing, managing compliance protocols, and leading a team of technicians to maintain the integrity of our beverage production. This is a high-impact role within our Adama facility, requiring a deep understanding of HACCP, ISO standards, and chemical analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance protocols across all production stages.
- Lead and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and quality inspectors.
- Ensure strict compliance with local and international food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000).
- Manage the laboratory testing schedule for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular audits of production lines to identify potential quality risks.
- Collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to resolve quality deviations immediately.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and present findings to senior management.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of food safety management systems and chemical analysis techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Amharic.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a closely related scientific discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Quality Management or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within a large-scale manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage sector. Proven experience in managing laboratory operations and leading technical teams is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This is a competitive package designed to attract top talent in the industry.
