We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Geophysics Consultant to join our team in Jinka, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geophysical surveys and providing technical advice to our conservation team.
Job Overview
The Geophysics Consultant will be responsible for conducting geophysical surveys to identify and map underground water sources, mineral deposits, and other geological features. The consultant will also provide technical advice to our conservation team on the use of geophysical methods for conservation purposes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics and experience in conducting geophysical surveys. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
The position is based in Jinka, Ethiopia, and the successful candidate will be required to travel to other parts of the country as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geophysical surveys to identify and map underground water sources, mineral deposits, and other geological features.
- Provide technical advice to our conservation team on the use of geophysical methods for conservation purposes.
- Develop and implement geophysical survey plans and protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve conservation goals.
- Travel to other parts of the country as needed to conduct surveys and provide technical advice.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geophysics or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in geophysics, with a strong background in geophysical surveys.
