Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for orchestrating the movement of cargo through maritime routes, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations, and optimizing the end‑to‑end logistics chain for CMA CGM Ethiopia’s clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, and berth allocations in collaboration with port authorities and terminal operators.
  • Prepare and verify all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and cargo manifests.
  • Monitor cargo status throughout the maritime journey, providing real‑time updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Resolve operational issues such as delays, cargo damage, or equipment failures by implementing corrective actions promptly.
  • Collaborate with inland freight partners to ensure seamless door‑to‑door delivery and optimal load planning.
  • Maintain compliance with international maritime regulations, safety standards, and CMA CGM’s internal policies.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Support the development of cost‑effective routing strategies and capacity planning.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maritime logistics, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.
