The Solar Power Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of TotalEnergies’ solar assets in the Gondar region. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the financial performance of solar assets, including revenue, OPEX, and CAPEX.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly asset performance reports for senior management and investors.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian energy regulations, tax obligations, and international ESG standards.
- Develop and maintain financial models for asset valuation, cash flow forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long‑term strategic plans.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
- Assist in the due diligence process for new solar project acquisitions or expansions.
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize plant performance and extend asset life.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings to align financial goals with operational targets.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
- Understanding of solar power technology, plant operations, and energy markets.
- Experience in financial modeling, asset valuation, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian energy regulations and international ESG frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Amharic is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or PMP are considered a strong advantage.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy asset management, project finance, or investment analysis. Experience with solar power projects in Africa is highly desirable.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 120,000 to 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
