Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling for all telecom network components.
• Implement security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption mechanisms across the backbone and access layers.
• Monitor security events using SIEM platforms, analyze alerts, and coordinate incident response activities.
• Collaborate with RF, core, and IT teams to integrate security requirements into network design and rollout projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of security architectures, configurations, and compliance evidence.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and operational staff on security best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in telecom security.

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of telecom protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G, MPLS, SIP) and associated security challenges.
• Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
• Experience in network architecture design, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on proactive threat mitigation.
