Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling for all telecom network components.
- Implement security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption mechanisms across the backbone and access layers.
- Monitor security events using SIEM platforms, analyze alerts, and coordinate incident response activities.
- Collaborate with RF, core, and IT teams to integrate security requirements into network design and rollout projects.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of security architectures, configurations, and compliance evidence.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and operational staff on security best practices.
- Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in telecom security.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of telecom protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G, MPLS, SIP) and associated security challenges.
- Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
- Experience in network architecture design, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on proactive threat mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and stakeholder reporting.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, GICSP) are highly desirable.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in network security will be considered an advantage.
Experience

Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
