Job Overview
The Senior Supply Chain Optimization Manager will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of end‑to‑end supply chain processes for Toyota Ethiopia. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels, enhancing transportation efficiency, and integrating advanced analytics to drive cost savings and service excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain optimization strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory data to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to redesign logistics networks, improve warehouse operations, and streamline transportation routes.
- Implement advanced analytics tools and KPIs to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless flow of parts and finished vehicles.
- Negotiate contracts with third‑party logistics providers to achieve cost‑effective and reliable services.
- Oversee the integration of technology solutions such as ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, customs procedures, and Toyota’s global standards.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Expertise in supply chain planning, inventory management, and transportation optimization.
- Proficiency in ERP, WMS, and TMS systems; advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Amharic is an advantage.
- Project management certification (PMP, Six Sigma) preferred.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or PMP will be given preference.
Experience
Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in supply chain optimization, logistics planning, or operations management within the automotive or manufacturing sector. Demonstrated success in leading large‑scale process improvement initiatives and managing complex supplier networks is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 300,000 to 500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
