Job Overview

The Senior Public Policy Analyst will lead research and analysis that informs the World Bank’s development strategies in Ethiopia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis on sectors such as agriculture, energy, finance, and infrastructure.
• Develop policy briefs, technical notes, and comprehensive reports for senior leadership and government stakeholders.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, round‑tables, and public consultations to gather insights and build consensus.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of World Bank‑supported policies and programs, providing actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate research findings into project design and implementation.
• Represent the World Bank at national conferences, seminars, and policy forums.

Required Skills

• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (Stata, R, or Python).

Education

A Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of eight years of professional experience in public policy analysis, research, or program evaluation, preferably within the African development context. Experience working with government agencies, international donors, or multilateral institutions is a strong advantage.

Salary
