Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Renewable Energy Policy Analyst to join our Energy and Extractives Global Practice in Awash, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement policies and programs that promote the use of renewable energy in Ethiopia.
The Renewable Energy Policy Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the impact of renewable energy policies and programs on the environment, economy, and society.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy policy, environmental science, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate the impact of renewable energy policies and programs on the environment, economy, and society.
- Develop and implement policies and programs that promote the use of renewable energy in Ethiopia.
- Work closely with our team to develop and implement projects that promote the use of renewable energy in Ethiopia.
- Conduct research and analysis on renewable energy policies and programs in Ethiopia and globally.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, private sector companies, and civil society organizations.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Energy Policy, Environmental Science, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluency in English and Amharic languages.
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Energy Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field from a reputable university.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in energy policy, environmental science, or a related field.
Salary
The salary for this position is 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
