Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA department at the Gondar production site, overseeing all aspects of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001 and local food safety regulations.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are promptly addressed.
• Monitor production processes, conduct root‑cause analyses, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with R&D to validate new product formulations and ensure scalability.
• Oversee sampling, testing, and documentation of raw materials, in‑process, and finished goods.
• Train and mentor QA staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of compliance documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, and local Ethiopian food safety standards.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) and quality software (e.g., SAP QM).
• Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high product standards.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable.

Minimum of five years of progressive experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or food & beverage environment, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Salary
