The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a professional and highly organized Driver and Liaison Officer to support transportation operations, government liaison activities, document processing, protocol coordination, and administrative support functions. Key Responsibilities
Transportation Duties
- Safely transport staff, consultants, partners, and visitors.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks and fuel consumption records.
- Ensure timely servicing and maintenance of assigned vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle insurance, registration, and licensing requirements.
- Follow organizational transportation and security procedures.
Liaison & Government Relations
- Facilitate document submissions and collections from government offices.
- Coordinate permit applications, visa processing, and regulatory approvals.
- Maintain professional communication with ministries, municipalities, and relevant authorities.
- Support protocol arrangements for official meetings and visits.
- Track administrative documentation and compliance requirements.
- Assist expatriate staff with local registration procedures.
Administrative Support
- Deliver official correspondence and confidential documents.
- Maintain records of licenses, permits, and organizational certifications.
- Support procurement and logistics activities when required.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and transportation schedules.
- Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, and training events.

Education Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Public Administration, Transport Management, or related field.
- Valid Ethiopian driving license with a clean driving record.
- Defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
- Training in protocol management or government relations is desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience.
- Experience working with NGOs, embassies, international organizations, or corporate institutions.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with government agencies.
- Strong knowledge of Addis Ababa road networks and transportation regulations.
