Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement molecular biology experiments to introduce and validate target traits in staple crops such as teff, wheat, and barley.
• Lead field trials across multiple Ethiopian agro‑ecological zones to assess agronomic performance and environmental impact.
• Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, and phenotypic data using bioinformatics tools and statistical models.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including agronomists, seed technologists, and extension specialists, to translate research findings into commercial products.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts, technical reports, and regulatory dossiers for submission to local and international authorities.
