Job Overview
The Senior Hydropower Systems Designer will play a critical role in the design, modeling, and optimization of hydroelectric power plants. This position is essential for our regional expansion, ensuring that new energy projects meet the highest standards of efficiency and environmental sustainability. You will be responsible for creating complex technical blueprints, conducting hydraulic simulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance energy solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the detailed design and technical specification of hydropower turbine systems and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize water flow and turbine efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure all specified components meet international quality and safety standards.
- Conduct site assessments and technical feasibility studies for new hydroelectric installations.
- Provide technical oversight during the installation and commissioning phases of hydropower projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure all design work adheres to international engineering codes and local regulations.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and hydraulic modeling tools.
- Deep understanding of hydroelectric turbine mechanics and electrical grid integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to complex fluid dynamics.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English.
- Project management expertise and the ability to lead technical design teams.
Education
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. A PhD in Fluid Mechanics or Renewable Energy Systems is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the design and development of large-scale hydropower systems is mandatory. Proven experience in working on international energy projects is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise.
