Job Overview
The Senior Hydropower Plant Operator will be responsible for the continuous and safe operation of large-scale hydroelectric turbines and generators. This role is critical to ensuring the stability of the national power grid and minimizing downtime through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control turbine speeds, water flow, and electrical output using SCADA systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical and electrical components to prevent failures.
- Coordinate with the grid dispatch center to manage load fluctuations and frequency stability.
- Lead emergency response procedures during equipment malfunctions or extreme weather events.
- Maintain detailed operational logs and technical reports for regulatory compliance.

- Advanced proficiency in industrial control systems and automated monitoring tools.
- Deep understanding of fluid mechanics and electrical generator synchronization.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for high-voltage electrical equipment.

Education

Salary
