Job Overview

The Artificial Intelligence Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions for Microsoft’s enterprise customers in Ethiopia. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, understanding client business challenges, and translating them into scalable AI architectures using Microsoft Azure AI services, OpenAI models, and other cutting‑edge technologies. The architect will also mentor junior engineers, ensure best practices in model governance, and drive adoption of AI solutions across various industry verticals. Key Responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end AI solutions that address complex business problems for clients in sectors such as finance, healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to develop proof‑of‑concepts and pilot projects that showcase AI capabilities.
• Lead technical workshops and architecture reviews with client stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain reusable AI solution templates, reference architectures, and best‑practice guidelines.
• Mentor and coach junior AI engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging AI trends, research papers, and Microsoft AI product roadmaps to provide thought leadership.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn) and cloud AI services (Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, and SQL; familiarity with DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing scalable, production‑grade AI architectures, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven track record of delivering AI projects from concept to production in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of data governance, model interpretability, and responsible AI principles.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying AI solutions at scale, preferably within a consulting or enterprise technology environment. Experience working with multinational clients and delivering cross‑border projects will be considered an advantage.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience, expertise, and performance. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive benefits.
