Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable farming techniques tailored to Dire Dawa’s agro-ecological conditions
- Conduct workshops on soil conservation, water management, and organic farming
- Collaborate with local cooperatives to establish seed banks and community farms
- Monitor climate patterns and advise farmers on adaptive agricultural strategies
- Prepare reports on project impact and resource utilization for stakeholders
Required Skills
- Expertise in agroecology and permaculture principles
- Proven experience with crop diversification and pest management
- Strong community engagement and cross-cultural communication skills
- Fluency in Amharic and English

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field. Advanced degrees in Sustainable Development or Climate Science preferred.
Experience
3-5 years in agricultural development projects, with a focus on sustainability. Experience working in East African rural communities is advantageous.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
