Job Overview

Ethio Telecom is looking for a Financial Accountant to manage financial reporting, accounts reconciliation, and regulatory compliance for its Dire Dawa operations. The role ensures accurate financial records, supports budgeting and cost analysis, and provides insights for operational decision-making.

The Financial Accountant will collaborate with finance managers, auditors, and operational teams to maintain transparency and control, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and journal entries

Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting standards

Conduct variance analysis and financial performance monitoring

Support internal and external audit processes

Monitor cash flow, operational expenses, and working capital

Implement internal controls and accounting policies

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ethiopian accounting standards

Experience with ERP accounting systems

Excellent financial analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and compliance orientation

Ability to interpret financial data to guide management decisions
