Job Overview

The Logistics Automation Engineer will design, implement, and optimize automated material handling systems within DHL’s Bako warehouse and cross‑dock facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer automated material handling solutions, including robotic pick‑and‑place, conveyor belts, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
  • Conduct site assessments, process mapping, and capacity analysis to identify automation opportunities.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications, schematics, and integration plans for hardware and software components.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and testing of automation equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and DHL’s operational protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate automation controls with DHL’s WMS and ERP systems.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prepare project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments, reporting progress to senior management.

Required Skills

Education
