Job Overview

The Aviation Safety and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and standards applicable to Ethiopian Airlines’ operations at Gode Airport. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of flight operations, maintenance activities, and ground handling processes at Gode Airport.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive compliance reports to the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and internal senior management.
• Investigate safety incidents and near‑miss events, perform root‑cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor changes in international and local aviation regulations and ensure timely implementation of required updates.
• Collaborate with the training department to design and deliver safety and compliance training programs for pilots, crew, and ground staff.
• Maintain and update the airline’s Safety Management System (SMS) documentation and risk assessment tools.
• Participate in internal safety committees and external industry forums to share best practices and stay abreast of emerging safety trends.
• Provide expert advice to operational teams on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ICAO Annexes, ECAA regulations, and international safety standards.

Education

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in aviation safety, regulatory compliance, or a similar role within an airline, airport authority, or aviation consultancy is required. Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and familiarity with the Safety Management System (SMS) framework are essential.
