Job Overview
The Grid Operations Manager will lead the planning, monitoring, and optimization of EEPCO’s high‑voltage transmission network in the northern region, ensuring stable and efficient power delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies for the high‑voltage transmission network covering Mekelle and surrounding regions.
- Monitor real‑time grid performance using SCADA and EMS tools, ensuring compliance with reliability standards.
- Lead outage management teams, coordinate restoration activities, and produce post‑event analysis reports.
- Collaborate with generation plants to balance load, manage congestion, and integrate renewable energy sources.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, equipment inspections, and asset health assessments.
- Prepare and present performance dashboards to senior management and regulatory agencies.
- Implement grid modernization projects, including smart grid technologies, advanced metering, and automation.
