Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven E-commerce Marketplace Specialist to join our growing team in Semera. This role is critical to our expansion strategy in the Afar region, focusing on onboarding high-quality vendors, optimizing product listings, and ensuring a superior customer experience. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between our platform and local merchants, helping them navigate the digital marketplace and scale their operations. This is a dynamic role that requires a blend of commercial acumen, analytical skills, and a passion for digital transformation. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new high-potential vendors to the Jumia marketplace in the Semera region.
• Monitor seller performance metrics to ensure compliance with platform standards and service level agreements.
• Optimize product visibility through strategic category management and keyword optimization.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction rates.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to provide actionable insights for category growth.
• Conduct regular training sessions for sellers to improve their digital storefront management.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills for vendor acquisition.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce metrics such as conversion rates and GMV.
• Excellent communication skills in both Amharic and English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required. Candidates with specialized certifications in Digital Marketing or E-commerce will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants should possess between 3 to 5 years of professional experience in retail management, digital marketing, or marketplace operations. Proven experience in managing vendor relationships or working within a logistics-heavy retail environment is highly desirable.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 15,000 to 25,000 SSP, depending on experience and performance during the probationary period.
