Job Overview

The Crop Protection Specialist will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of integrated pest management strategies for key crops cultivated in the Gambela region. Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of agronomy, plant pathology, entomology, and herbicide chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and field trial software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Amharic or local languages is an advantage.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees (MSc or PhD) are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience
