Job Overview

Schneider Electric Ethiopia is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard its digital infrastructure and protect sensitive data from emerging cyber threats. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of IT systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents in real-time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect potential security breaches or anomalies.
  • Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
  • Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies aligned with industry best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents, including malware attacks and phishing attempts.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees on cybersecurity protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into cloud and on-premise systems.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity with a focus on threat detection and incident response.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CEH are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in security tools like Splunk, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus).
  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in cybersecurity are advantageous.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in the energy, industrial, or IT sectors. Experience with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure platform is a plus.

Salary

120,000 – 180,000 SSP per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
