Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and manage quantitative and qualitative research projects to uncover consumer preferences and market dynamics.
- Analyze large data sets using statistical software, generate reports, and present insights to senior leadership.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging trends to inform brand and product strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Brand Management, Sales, and Innovation to integrate research findings into business plans.
- Develop predictive models and segmentation analyses to identify growth opportunities across different consumer segments.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create compelling presentations.
- Project management expertise, ensuring research projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of the Ethiopian consumer market, cultural nuances, and FMCG industry dynamics.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or professional certification in market research or data analytics is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience conducting market research in the FMCG sector, preferably within the Ethiopian or broader East African market. Experience with both primary and secondary research methodologies, as well as a proven track record of influencing business decisions through data‑driven insights, is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and other employee benefits.
