Job Overview
The Senior Investment Analyst will play a critical role in our Corporate Banking division, focusing on large-scale capital projects and strategic investments. You will be responsible for conducting complex financial modeling, assessing risk profiles, and providing strategic insights that guide our investment decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of potential investment opportunities.
- Develop complex financial models to project cash flows, IRR, and NPV for large-scale projects.
- Conduct rigorous due diligence on prospective corporate clients and investment targets.
- Monitor existing investment portfolios to ensure compliance with risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to mitigate credit and market exposure.
- Prepare comprehensive investment committee memos and presentations for senior management.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Strong understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Education
A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a highly quantitative field is required. Professional certifications such as CFA or ACCA are strongly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar role within a major financial institution. Proven experience in the East African market is highly desirable.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
