Job Overview

The Oil & Gas Production Scheduler will be based in Kebri Dehar, a strategic hub for upstream activities in the Somali region. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for assigned fields.
  • Analyze well performance data, forecast production trends, and recommend adjustments to optimize recovery.
  • Coordinate with drilling and completions teams to integrate new wells into the production plan.
  • Monitor real‑time production metrics and generate variance reports for senior management.
  • Ensure all scheduling activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and Schlumberger’s operational policies.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to align equipment and material availability with production targets.
  • Participate in cross‑functional meetings to communicate schedule changes and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Schlumberger’s enterprise systems and support audit readiness.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in production scheduling software (e.g., SAP PP, Aspen HYSYS, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in data interpretation and trend analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian oil and gas regulatory framework and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Advanced certifications in production planning, project management, or data analytics are considered a strong advantage.

Salary
