Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all automotive components and final assemblies meet Toyota’s stringent quality standards and comply with local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures for automotive components and final assemblies.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of production processes to ensure compliance with Toyota’s quality standards and Ethiopian regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze non‑conformities, perform root‑cause investigations, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to integrate quality considerations early in the product development cycle.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, conduct supplier audits, and ensure incoming parts meet specified criteria.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports, metrics, and dashboards for senior management review.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Train production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards such as ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and quality management software (e.g., Minitab, SPC).
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach.
  • Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Amharic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and lead quality initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the automotive manufacturing sector or a comparable high‑precision industry.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from 180,000 to 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based bonuses.
