Job Overview
Mekelle International School is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher to join its academic faculty in Mekelle. The successful candidate will deliver engaging classroom instruction, design effective lesson plans, and support student academic development.
The teacher will foster a supportive learning environment while encouraging creativity, analytical thinking, and collaborative learning among students. The role also involves participation in extracurricular programs, academic planning, and school development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned classroom lessons.
Develop lesson plans, assignments, and teaching resources.
Assess student progress through tests, projects, and class participation.
Provide academic mentoring and individualized support for students.
Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
Integrate educational technology and digital learning tools.
Participate in school events, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and academic programs.
Prepare student progress reports and evaluation records.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and student engagement.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant academic discipline
3–5 years teaching experience in primary or secondary schools
Knowledge of modern teaching strategies and classroom management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to integrate digital learning platforms and educational technology

💰 Annual Salary: USD $2,700 – $3,800 per year
